Montesilvano is a town with a strong tourist vocation, especially bound to summer beach tourism The town offers several hotel of each category, some of them of high quality level and with entertainment staff. The town has very important facilities and buildings fit to host national and international congresses, with a modern congress center. There are many restaurants, chalets and a cycle lane that stretches along the coastline linking the southern part of the town to Pescara.


Pescara, chief town of the homonymous province is a town of about 124.oo inhabitants. The main avenue of the town is Corso Umberto I, that ends up to Piazza della Rinascita, best known as piazza Salotto and reach the sea promenade in piazza Primo Maggio. The buildings of the province and the municipality are locate in piazza Italia, next to the Pescara river. Corso Manthonè in the old part of the town called Pescara Vecchia has become the centre of entertainment and nightlife for several years. Very active is bathing tourism, so that Pescara has become one of the most attended summer holiday centre in the middle Adriatic coastline.


Lanciano is the second main town in the province of Chieti. On a hill just at a few kilometers away from the sea, the town has a flourishing trade activity and many are the exhibitions which take place every year. But this centre is well known in particular because it is a cradle for arts as it is visible from several important monuments, first of all the Miracolo Eucaristico (Eucharistic Miracle).In the 8th century a consecrated host turned into coagulated blood, today preserved in a monstrance which is admired and worshipped every year by thousands of pilgrims.

ATRI 20 Km

Atri is an ancient artistic town in the middle Adriatic, with 11326 inhabitants. It is located in the province of Teramo even if it is nearest to Pescara and its metropolitan area. Especially in summer Atri is a beloved tourist destination because of the richness of its aristic beauties and monuments, museums, but also nature and art events, culture and entertainment, typical products and gastronomy. In the town congresses and workshops are held in the Town Theatre of the 19th century or in the Auditorium of the a4th century S. Agostino church.


The town is divided into two parts, Chieti Alta (upper part)and Chieti Scalo. Between Chieti and Pescara is located the district of Sambuceto, part of the commune of San Giovanni Teatino, always in province of Chieti. Lying on a panoramic hill, Chieti can boast many buildings that preserve witnesses of several centuries of local history. mhe main avenue is Corso Marrucino, that stretches from piazza Trento e Trieste also called piazza Trinita , next to piazza Giambattista Vico, crosses Piazza Valignani and end up to Via Arniense the very heart of the town historical centre.


Città St. Angelo rises on hill next to the river Saline and the town of Pescara. It is a wonderful terrace overlooking the Gran Sasso and the Adriatic sea as well. The landscape is characterized by vineyards and olive grooves. Tourism is an increasing activity, both thanks to the artistic monuments and the excellent hotel accommodation, especially in Marina di Città S. Angelo. The town structure of the historical centre has a medieval planning and the herringbone plan is crossed by the Corso (avenue) with a series of alleys on both sides.
